will give a talk Ghost Stories of the Oregon Coast Andre Hagestedt is the editor of The Oregon Coast Beach Connection, a travel news and entertainment Web site about the upper half of Oregon’s coast. He has been a journalist for nearly 15 years, having been employed at or written for a variety of media organizations throughout the Northwest. He lives in Portland and in Manzanita part time, and admits he is "so obsessed with the Oregon coast that it's ready to take a restraining order out on him." Some people collect hubcaps, figurines or stamps. I collect paranormal stories about Oregon’s coast. It’s not that I swallow this stuff – it’s just that it fascinates the hell outta me. It’s certainly a whole new level to Oregon tourism, I’ve discovered. And well, I have had a few things happen I can’t really explain. Doing this research has been an adventure all its own as well, filled with startling, strange discoveries, memorable moments and interesting twists in all sorts of ways.
